FAQs

Why Aleph?

At Aleph School of Ministry, we believe that true knowledge comes from both learning content as well as having experience. As such, ASM takes a more biblical, hands-on approach to discipleship and ministerial education. Students will receive high quality instruction in each content area as well as the opportunity to put into practice their understanding of the material. Many ministry schools provide knowledge but lack the important hands-on experience that ministry demands. Our aim is to develop leaders through experience which is what each ASM student can expect to receive.

Can I work and attend asm as well?

Yes, it is possible for students not participating in the student-intern program to work a part-time job around school; however, students are required to attend all ministry activities and events (which might take place at night or over weekends) of Aleph School of Ministry in order to meet the requirements for passing each course. As such, students who choose to work must schedule work around all school-related activities.

If you are interested in receiving financial aid or assistance, we highly recommend the student-intern program. For information about the program please click here.

What is the difference between a student and an intern?

Student intern positions at Aleph School of Ministry are not always available and are filled based on an individual basis. Our basis includes the student’s needs and experience, as well as the duties of each position as it applies to the needed departments.

Both students and student-interns will have the same daily schedule until 1 pm (see daily schedule here). At lunch, students are released; however, student-interns will return to campus after lunch to perform their responsibilities and duties. Student-interns have a more hands-on experience with working in the ministry, as they help with the day-to-day tasks of running a ministry. They also receive small compensation for their work.  Both students and student-interns are required to attend the hands-on ministry activities and events scheduled throughout the week in order to pass their courses. Please contact if you are interested in a student-intern position or to check on availability at Aleph@alephsm.org.

DO I NEED A CAR?

Depending on each student’s housing situation, a car might be required. Students are responsible for getting to the school campus each day in a timely manner.
